Abstract: This is the first annual report of the newly established Global Economic Dynamics and the Biosphere programme (GEDB). This five-year research programme at the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences, which is being funded by the Erling-Persson Family Foundation, is addressing the economic dynamics of global change and its implications for a sustainable future
