GEDB researchers have contributed to a newly launched massive open online course (MOOC) Transforming Development: The Science and Practice of Resilience Thinking.

The course, which is free of charge and open to all, is designed to help practitioners use resilience thinking as a tool to improve development practices and apply systems thinking across and beyond the Sustainable Development Goals.

GEDB executive director Beatrice Crona was in charge of developing a course module on “Cross-scale dynamics of an intertwined planet” and participates with two lectures: Teleconnectivities in a globalized world and Syndromes of vulnerability across different development contexts. For the same module, GEDB researcher Peter Søgaard Jørgensen delivered the content for a chapter where he explores the question “What is the Global?”
