The Global Economic Dynamics and the Biosphere programme (GEDB) is a research programme at the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences. It is funded by the Erling-Persson Family Foundation.

Our aim is to conduct interdisciplinary research that improves understanding of the economic dynamics of global change in a biosphere context, and the implications and opportunities this presents for a sustainable future.

We do rigorous, high-impact scientific work that integrates social, economic and ecological dimensions, perspectives, and data to explore scientific frontiers that lie at the nexus between these areas.

We hope to deliver science for change, and aim to be relevant for decision-making within practice, policy, and business in a world that is undergoing significant change in all these domains.
